I loved this series as a young teenager and people tell me that it still holds up today, so I'd like to go back and give it a chance!

This was a fun read and a good recommendation. I'm excited for the next one. I do like how there are different storyline elements going on, some are practical, planning and politics, while another is more social, and another is strategic, but without being an "everything always works out" story.

[minor spoiler] I just got the the part early on where they talk about the history of how in 2036 we elected a far right religious figure who ruined everything in the US and I immediately realized that we're 10 years ahead of schedule relative to the dystopian imaginations.
